University of Valencia (UV): Master's in English at €70.68 per Credit, and the Double Price for Non-Residents

The Universitat de València, one of Spain's oldest universities, teaches mostly in Spanish and Valencian. Its English options are a short list of master's, priced under the Valencian rule that charges non-resident non-EU students twice the regional fee.

Non-EU tuition

The Valencian decree sets one price per credit for each level, and non-resident non-EU students pay it twice. On UV's own price pages for 2025/26:

Master'sPer credit, non-EU60 credits, about
Most master's€70.68 (resident €35.34)₹4.5 lakh
International MBA (iMBA)€99.50₹9.5 lakh for 90 credits
Erasmus Mundus WOP-P€150 (2024 value)Set by the consortium

Valencia's press reported prices frozen for 2026/27, but we did not read the new decree itself. Check the programme's own cost page, which UV updates every year. €1 = ₹106.27 (European Central Bank reference rate (EUR/INR 106.272), 23 October 2026)

Is Spanish required?

For the five master's above, no. For everything else at UV, yes: Spanish or Valencian at B2 is the realistic minimum.

Admission route

Pre-enrolment for master's runs in phases, the first in spring; enrolment for 2026/27 took place in July and September. Apply in the first phase so the admission letter arrives in time for a visa appointment.

Common questions: University of Valencia

Why do Indian students pay double at the University of Valencia?

Valencia's price decree, Decreto 101/2024, makes non-resident students from outside the EU pay twice the public price, capped at the real cost. A student stay permit does not count as residence. From 2025/26 the full doubling applies.

Can I get the resident price later?

Only after you prove legal residence in Spain, not a student stay. Most students pay the non-EU price for the whole master's.

Does UV have bachelor's in English?

Not fully in English. Some bachelor's have English groups for part of the subjects; the rest is in Spanish or Valencian.
