UNED, Spain's distance university, appears on this site only as the body that accredits foreign school certificates through UNEDasiss. Online universities are left out because an online course does not support a student visa. CEU San Pablo, Camilo José Cela and many regional public universities are also absent, as are language schools; we may add a university when it publishes English programmes and non-EU fees.

Common questions: Universities in Spain

Which is the cheapest university in Spain for Indian students?

For master's, the Andalusian universities, Granada, Seville and Málaga, at €13.68 per credit, about €820 for 60 credits, as long as they do not add a non-resident surcharge. Few of their master's are fully in English, though. Among programmes fully in English, UPC in Barcelona at about €2,700 for 60 credits is the cheapest large offer.

Which Spanish universities teach the most in English?

Among public universities: UPC, UAB, UC3M and UPF. Among private ones: IE University and Universidad Europea. Most of the rest teach mainly in Spanish, Catalan, Valencian or Basque.

Are public universities in Spain free for Indians?

No. Non-EU students pay per credit like everyone, and most regions charge non-residents more: double in Valencia and Aragon, up to four times in Madrid. A student stay in Spain does not count as residence.
