Studying in Madrid: Four Public Universities, IE and Universidad Europea, and a €10 Transport Pass

Madrid has the most universities on this site: four public ones and two private. It is Spain's capital and business centre, home to the Embassy of India, and its regional fees for non-EU students are among the highest in Spain.

Living in Madrid

The Embassy of India is at Avenida Pío XII 30-32, 28016 Madrid. Many South Asian shops and restaurants are around Lavapiés in the centre. Public universities' main campuses are outside the centre: UC3M in Getafe and Leganés, UAM at Cantoblanco, UPM at several sites, Universidad Europea at Villaviciosa de Odón.

Average January temperatures range from 2.7 °C at night to 9.8 °C by day; July afternoons average 32.1 °C (AEMET, Madrid, Retiro). Monthly budgets are on cost of living.
